I highly recommend all of Hogan's R&R books. They were awesome for studying in nursing school, this one was more helpful in the last semester of nursing school when we were doing advanced med-surg, and it was more multi-system and shock. If you are looking for a good one for the first med-surg class, I highly recommend Medical-Surgical Nursing: Reviews and Rationales and the Fundamentals R&R as well. Hope this helps! Love these books! 4th semester I was too busy and this book helped me tremendously. Breaks down complex patho into easy to understand material;good study questions & test prep. I took it everywhere, and also used it to write my care-plan concept maps. Includes NANDA's and interventions. Great book. I put the whole series on my Christmas list and my family purchase them all for me. easy for them to afford at $24-25 dollars each.
