Kaplan NCLEX-RN Medications You Need to Know for the Exam PDF

I'm not a Kaplan fan, but I just keep buying their stuff. This, as most of their stuff tends to be, is mediocre.

I'm so used to finding spelling errors and typos, that not finding any (yet) is thus far a pleasant surprise.

The format is ok... they have two drugs on one page, and the side effects and RN considerations on the other page. It would be less confusing and more readable to just have one drug and se/RN consid on one page rather than two... it is easy to accidentally start reading the bottom half pages side effects from the previous page's top half drug. Color coding them could have prevented this, but hey, it's Kaplan.

So, I'm going to type these out for my own personal use so that they are more functional as actual flashcards.

Another good point is the drugs are grouped by classification. If you're in an RN program that requires drug cards, then this would garner at least 4 stars for that.

Overall a worthy purchase.

I found they do have these cards as actual cards here on Amazon. Another great purchase that saved me tens of hours making the book into flash cards. The separate cards coupled with the book would be better together than apart, in my opinion. Still wish they would differentiate the books top 1/2 drugs on one page from the bottom half, as stated above!

It was all just mixed together. Sometimes you just want to find out what ONE MED does and this book will NOT make it easy for you..

I only opened it once and that was all.. Seriously.
I didn't believe what other ppl wrote but they were right.. Waste of money..
