Please, if you're a nursing school professor spare your students having to endure this poorly written book. It is vague, hard to understand, and the diagrams are so confusing! Additionally, typos abound. On one page the author is discussing checking the IV site for infiltration. The paragraph repeatedly suggests checking for "harness." Confused about what this was I asked a nurse friend of mine and she suggested the book might mean "hardness." Not really something you have time to do as a nursing student is edit a book that is supposed to be a reference so you presumably can provide safe patient care. I recommend any other text than this one!By Rachel A. Evick
