Alcamo's Microbes and Society PDF

This book was assigned reading for my Intro to Microbiology class and I found it an extremely helpful resource during the duration of the class. It reads well and does an excellent job explaining difficult concepts - I have never had a good biology or chemistry class, yet I was able to understand the concepts very well thanks to the explanations in this book.

My only complaint - and this may seem trivial or silly, and perhaps it is! - is that the author is obsessed with bioterrorism. He would frequently add that x-microbe could be a potential weapon of bioterrorism. Good to know, I suppose, but isn't that adding fuel to the flame?

The Kindle edition of this book doesn't have page numbers, making it absolutely worthless for my class. WIth the outrageous prices they charge for these textbooks I expect something as basic as page number support.
